The language of instruction is Creole from the age of 6 to 10, and then English is gradually introduced as the language of instruction. Later, French is introduced as a foreign language. At the end of year 6, students take a nationwide test to measure academic performance.
In addition to public schools, there are 3 private schools in the Seychelles.

Secondary education
Secondary school lasts 5 years, although only 4 years are mandatory. At the end of the 5th year, students take an external exam leading to the Cambridge General Certificate of Education of the usual level. Healthcare

The Republic of Seychelles consists of a group of 115 islands hidden in the Indian Ocean 1,500 km off the east coast of Africa. The population of the country is about 85,000 people, and together the islands occupy a small area of 457 square kilometers.

The Government of Seychelles provides free access to primary health care for all its citizens and has adequate services in the field of child health and maternity. Access to education and health care, safe drinking water and sanitation is considered adequate in the country.

Seychelles has reached an epidemiological transition from infectious to non-communicable diseases. Most infectious and infectious diseases have been brought under control or eliminated

There are two public hospitals on Mahe: Victoria Hospital, located in the capital of Victoria, and a smaller facility called Anse Royale Hospital. Both institutions provide emergency care, pediatrics, gynecology, oncology, ophthalmology and other specialized services. Victoria Hospital has the only decompression chamber in the Seychelles used to treat diving-related disorders. Mahe also has several small private medical clinics that provide primary medical services.

Specialized medical services, including complex heart surgery, oncology and dentistry, are very limited in the Seychelles, and patients who can afford it must travel to Kenya or South Africa for appropriate treatment.

On the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue there are 13 medical centers and 6 hospitals, as well as 7 private dentists and 7 private pharmacies. They offer a wide range of services, such as medical consultations, family planning, maternity planning, prenatal care, health examination, physiotherapy. The hospital in Seychelles also offers several specialized services such as radiology, ophthalmology, as well as surgical procedures.

Climate

Seychelles is an island country in East Africa. A member State of the Commonwealth of Nations. It is located in the western part of the Indian Ocean, a little south of the equator, about 1600 km east of the African mainland, north of Madagascar.
The republic consists of 115 islands, only 33 are inhabited.
The area of the state is 455 km2. The largest island is Mahe (142 km2). It is the capital of the state — Victoria and the international airport. Other large islands are Silhouette, Praslin, La Digue. Many small coral islands.
The population is about 99,000 people

The climate of the Seychelles archipelago is strongly influenced by the ocean, especially due to changes in monsoon winds, ocean currents and temperature regimes of the sea surface, hence the tropical marine climate. Temperatures range from 25C to 26C in July and August and from 27C to 28C in March and April. Near sea level, the maximum temperature is about 4C higher than at higher altitude, reaching an average of 31C at noon in April.

The topography of the Seychelles strongly influences the nature of precipitation. Precipitation varies depending on altitude and ranges from 76.2 mm in July to 404.8 mm in January. The average annual rainfall on Mahe is 2,369.4 mm in coastal areas, but it is expected to exceed this amount in most of the hilly terrain.

In the Seychelles, it rains from time to time due to their tropical location, often in the evening or at night, but usually only for a short time. The wettest months of the year are usually December, January and February, and the summer months of June, July and August are the driest months of the year.

The Seychelles is home to numerous endemic bird species, lizards, Seychelles skinks and geckos, and you can also see small non-venomous snakes.
